    This program is suitable for kids aged 5-12yrs. Children 5 and younger may need some support to complete the program. The program is easy to use and children can easily complete it alone. However, this program is ideal for adults and kids to do together.

  • Can my child complete this program more than once? And can we log in on any device at any time?

    Kids Mindfulness Online can be completed again and again. Kids can stop and start the program at anytime, complete snippets or sessions/segments individually. The program can also be accessed on any device at any time anywhere in the world. This is the beauty of on demand courses.

  • What does my one off fee include?

    All required props and resources are included with the course as downloadable and printable PDFs. You will be required to print off worksheets, coloring sheets, activity and breathing prompts. Participants will also need; textas, pencils or pens etc.. for worksheets and coloring sheets, a crystal or small teddy for belly breathing and pillows and blankets for meditation practice.

Why Mindfulness for children?

Aside from having a personal passion and love for Mindfulness and Meditation practice, Mayanne has also been teaching Mindfulness and Meditation via therapeutic groups to children for 5 years. To date (July 2023) she has taught 190 children to find their calm via her face to face Kids Mindfulness Program. Regardless of any pathologies or diagnosis Mindfulness and Meditation practice have many benefits for the growing and developing child. These include;

  • Mindfulness is an evidence based therapy modality. Clinical evidence and research suggests that Mindfulness reduces anxiety, depression and stress. (UCLA Health)

  • Regular Mindfulness and Meditation practice assists children in their daily lives off the mat, giving them the tools to be calm, less reactive and to practice the pause when they encounter stress or face life's challenges

  • Mindfulness practice improves sleep, attention, focus, concentration and cognitive development.

  • Mindfulness and in particular Meditation practice builds patience, mental strength and mental stamina in children

  • Mindfulness reduces stress and promotes a relaxation response which in turn improves self regulation in children. According to self regulation expert Professor Stuart Shanker; highly stressed children have a decreased ability to self regulate. When stress is reduced self regulation capabilities improve markedly (NYU).

Maryanne Eve

Maryanne Eve is an Australian Mental Health Social Worker and Specialist Children's Therapist. She is also the the Owner/Director of Mindful Life Wellness. A small Mental Health and Wellness Clinic located in the outer Northern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. With almost 30 years experience working as a professional helper in the Human Services sector across a vast range of fields of practice including; Adult Clinical Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, Child & Adolescent Clinical Mental Health, Child Protection, Parenting Education & Support, AOD, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Disability, Youth, Hypnobirthing and Kids Yoga. Maryanne has run a successful Private Practice in Melbourne for coming up to 13 years. Here, with her Therapy Dog Tilly by her side, Maryanne works with adults and children, offering individual and group therapy programs, courses and workshops. In 2019 Maryanne was nominated for a range of service awards for her work via the Australian Allied Health Awards, along with being shortlisted for the 2019 Australian Social Worker of the Year. In 2023 Maryanne was also nominated and shortlisted for the "Enduring Brilliance Award" via the Australian Ladies in Business Initiative (ALIBI) Awards. This award category recognises female lead business who have been able to sustain their success and continue to make an impact on their industry and community for over 10 years. Maryanne has been designing, writing, creating and teaching courses and workshops in the Mental Health and Wellness space for 6 years.
